Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Painter 1 for a contract opportunity in San Diego, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 2-5 years of experience • Application of aerospace paints to complex shaped structures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • We are looking for a Production Painter 1 to support our paint/wet chemistry department. As a member of the paint/wet chemistry department you’ll get to paint and prime a variety of aerospace structures. This position will serve on-site. • Coats surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun. • Selects and mixes coating material; coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller. • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Experience with BR127 primer. • Material Preparation • Surface Coatings
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent/GED is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS: 9/80 workweek.
