Position Details

Job Title: Electronic Technician

Location: Buffalo, NY 14221

Pay Rate: Up to $28.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

(Includes unpaid 30-minute lunch; schedule subject to change based on business needs)

As an Electronic Technician, you'll play a critical role in testing, troubleshooting, and supporting sophisticated electronic systems used in aerospace and defense applications. Your expertise will help ensure the performance, reliability, and quality of technologies that operate at the forefront of innovation.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Test and troubleshoot RF products, including:
  
  
  
  • RF microelectronics
    
  • Amplifiers
    
  • Switches
    
  • Mixers
    
  
  
  
• Test, diagnose, and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
  
• Analyze operating characteristics to identify and isolate product and test system malfunctions.
  
• Use schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings, and test procedures to diagnose non-conformances.
  
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronic assemblies, often working under a microscope.
  
• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on test equipment.
  
• Accurately record test results and production data in quality systems and manufacturing records.
  
• Interpret test findings and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Support production assembly operations for electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve and refine test procedures.
  
• Follow all safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness requirements.
  
• Successfully complete in-house workmanship training and certification programs.
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• Electronics knowledge gained through education, military experience, or hands-on work experience.
  
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical procedures, drawings, and specifications.
  
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail.
  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Source control drawings

• Experience working with microelectronics and tuning components under a microscope.
  
• Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment.
  
• Experience working in partnership with engineering teams.
  
• Soldering and electronic assembly experience.
  
• Knowledge of defense electronics, particularly Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Experience in a metrics-driven manufacturing environment.
  
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
