PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier leader in the aviation and defense industry to hire a Project Management Specialist for an exciting opportunity supporting the VC-25B Program in San Antonio, TX.

As a Project Management Specialist, you'll help shape and maintain integrated project plans that support program objectives, schedules, customer commitments, and organizational priorities. You'll work across multiple teams to ensure alignment, identify risks, drive mitigation strategies, and communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders.

What You'll Do
Project Planning & Integration
Support the preparation, development, coordination, scheduling, and change management of integrated project plans.
Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables using industry-standard project management methodologies.
Help ensure program requirements are met while maintaining schedule and performance goals.
Schedule Management & Reporting
Develop, collect, organize, and maintain project data and performance metrics.
Track program schedules, stakeholder commitments, supplier deliverables, and compliance requirements.
Monitor project performance and identify schedule or cost variances.
Risk Management
Support risk assessments and collaborate on mitigation and recovery plans.
Identify potential project roadblocks and develop actionable solutions.
Adjust project scope and schedules as required to support business objectives.
Stakeholder Communication
Communicate project status, plan changes, recovery strategies, and key updates to team members and leadership.
Coordinate work statements, project schedules, and change management activities.
Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment.
Leadership Support
Present project information to employees, customers, peers, and leadership teams.
Assist with business case refinement and decision-making processes.
Provide visibility into project execution, risks, opportunities, and overall program health.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Experience
5+ years of experience managing projects using standard project management practices and tools.
5+ years of experience presenting information to employees, customers, peers, and leadership teams.
5+ years of experience working within cross-functional business environments.
5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including:
Word
Excel
PowerPoint
Outlook

Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to transform ambiguous information into structured, scalable project plans.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of related professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leadership teams.
Background in aerospace, aviation, defense, or manufacturing environments.
Experience utilizing a variety of project management tools and methodologies.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other recognized project management credentials.
Ability to walk up and down scaffolding as required.
Regular and predictable attendance is essential for success in this role.

Pay Details: $69.85 per hour
