Position Details



Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)

Location: Smithfield, PA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Must be Available to Work Any Shift

Pay Rate: Starting at $26.06 per hour

Work Environment: 100% Onsite



Important: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

As an Assembly Technician, you'll contribute directly to the production of structural and mechanical assemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories that support the aviation industry. What You'll Do



Assembly & Manufacturing




  • Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories.
  • Utilize manual assembly techniques while following established manufacturing processes and specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and production documentation.


Quality & Compliance




  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow production standards and established manufacturing procedures.
  • Support compliance initiatives in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.


Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement




  • Independently identify and help resolve routine production issues.
  • Develop, modify, and document corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency and product quality.

  • Engage in ongoing learning and training opportunities.
  • Build and maintain technical knowledge, manufacturing skills, and process expertise.

Required Qualifications



Education & Experience




  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in regulated environments where compliance and quality standards are critical.
  • Experience fabricating and/or assembling mechanical or electrical systems using industry-standard production methods.


Technical Skills




  • Ability to read and interpret:

    • Engineering drawings
    • Blueprints
    • Schematics
    • Specifications
    • Change documentation


  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures and practices.


Additional Requirements




  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.
  • Must live within commuting distance of Smithfield, PA, or relocate at your own expense.
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.  
  •  Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.                                        

     




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience using specialized manufacturing tools such as:

    • Mechanical and electrical crimpers
    • Wire strippers
    • Wire routing tools
    • Multimeters


  • Knowledge of production and assembly processes, including:

    • Engineering drawings
    • Wiring diagrams and schematics
    • Functional testing procedures
    • Supplier documentation


  • Understanding of:

    • Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention
    • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls
    • Material handling procedures
    • Calibration requirements


  • Experience evaluating materials, suppliers, equipment, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and reproducibility.

Pay Details: $26.06 per hour
