PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Assembler - Electrical Installer to support the assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of advanced space flight subsystems and support equipment.

In this role, you'll work on high-reliability aerospace hardware, assembling complex electro-mechanical systems, PCB assemblies, and space-qualified components that help power the next generation of space exploration and aerospace technology.

What You'll Do

 Electro-Mechanical Assembly

• Assemble printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies into product chassis
  
• Build electro-mechanical assemblies using:
  
  
  
  • Engineering drawings
    
  • Blueprints
    
  • Manufacturing plans
    
  • Standard operating procedures
    
  
  
  
• Perform structural and mechanical assembly operations on aerospace hardware
  

 PCB & Electronic Assembly

• Assemble and integrate high-reliability electronic systems
  
• Perform through-hole and SMT soldering and rework
  
• Support installation and connection of electrical and electronic components
  
• Ensure workmanship meets aerospace quality standards
  

 Inspection & Quality Assurance

• Perform visual inspections of assemblies against:
  
  
  
  • Drawings
    
  • Engineering specifications
    
  • Assembly procedures
    
  • Test requirements
    
  
  
  
• Verify product conformity and quality
  
• Identify and document non-conformances
  
• Support repair and rework activities as required
  

 Coating & Finishing Operations

• Support:
  
  
  
  • Conformal coating
    
  • Masking operations
    
  • Epoxy application
    
  • Protective coating processes
    
  
  
  
• Ensure proper handling and processing of sensitive aerospace assemblies
  

 Precision Tool Usage

• Utilize calibrated tools including:
  
  
  
  • Torque wrenches
    
  • Micrometers
    
  • Calipers
    
  • Dial indicators
    
  • Test equipment
    
  
  
  
• Perform precision assembly in accordance with engineering requirements
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
  
• More than 3 years of experience:
  
  
  
  • Reading blueprints
    
  • Following manufacturing plans
    
  • Working from technical instructions and specifications
    
  
  
  
• Ability to frequently lift 20 pounds or more
  
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the workday
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace & Electronics Experience

• 3+ years of experience in:
  
  
  
  • Electro-mechanical assembly
    
  • Electronics assembly
    
  • PCB assembly

• Experience assembling high-reliability aerospace products
  

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of soldering experience

Industry Standards
