Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Analyst / Business Intelligence (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Analytical Skills: Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
o Data Analysis: Ability to perform advanced data analysis. Ability to assess requirements and select appropriate algorithms. Ability to create descriptive statistics and mathematical models to solve analysis problems. Ability to employ artificial intelligence or knowledge-based approaches. Ability to evaluate the performance of the models. Ability to interpret data analysis results.
o Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Power BI, RStudio, SQL, Smartsheet, and Excel (including Power Query and DAX). Experience in one of the following languages: C++, Java, or Python. Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical topics and perform engineering analysis. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a versatile Data Analyst to build dynamic dashboards and actionable operational metrics for our Avionics engineering organization. Transforms complex data from various SQL databases, Smartsheet, and Excel into clear visual stories using Power BI and RStudio. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to changing priorities, and maintains a positive, collaborative attitude. Ability to build computing systems from a variety of components to provide a business solution. Includes the ability to integrate application components and databases across computing platforms.
o Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and engineering reports in Power BI and RStudio with access-controlled UI.
o Data Integration: Connect, clean, and blend data from manufacturing SQL databases, Smartsheet trackers, and Excel spreadsheets.
o Metrics Creation: Collaboratively define, track, and analyze key aerospace KPIs like quality yields, delivery schedules, and project milestones.
o Database Querying: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data efficiently from engineering data warehouses and ERP systems.
o Process Automation: Streamline manual reporting workflows into scalable, automated data pipelines to support engineering leadership decision-making.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK HOURS:
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT; 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
