PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a Test Engineer. As a Test Engineer, you'll design, develop, and execute test solutions that verify product performance, improve manufacturing processes, and deliver high-quality results for customers. Working closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams, you'll help ensure aerospace products meet the highest standards for safety, quality, and reliability.
What You'll Do
Plan, coordinate, and execute product testing from setup through data analysis and final reporting.
Design, develop, and implement testing methods, procedures, and equipment.
Integrate products with test tooling, instrumentation, software, and equipment.
Troubleshoot test equipment, tooling, harnesses, and test systems to resolve technical issues.
Collect, analyze, and document test data while supporting product verification activities.
Develop technical documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports.
Present test results during internal engineering reviews and customer meetings.
Leverage automation and continuous improvement tools to increase testing efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to support product development and production goals.
Support multiple work shifts and occasional travel between Oxnard and Goleta, CA, and customer locations (approximately 10%).
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of test engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field.
Experience troubleshooting test equipment, tooling, and test harnesses.
Experience with test automation or lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
Technical writing experience, including developing test procedures and documentation.
Ability to travel approximately 10% and support multiple shifts as business needs require.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of test engineering experience.
Experience with LabVIEW or other test automation software.
Experience testing electronic components such as motors, actuators, position sensors, and load transducers.
Aerospace or aeronautical industry experience.
Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
