As a Structures Technician III, you'll play an essential role in assembling, fitting, and repairing aircraft structures that help power the future of aviation and defense. Your expertise will directly contribute to the integrity, safety, and performance of world-class aerospace products. 

What You'll Do 

As a key member of the manufacturing team, you'll perform structural assembly and modification work while ensuring every component meets the highest standards of quality and precision. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Assemble major aircraft structures and perform precision structural fitting operations. 

• Perform filing, sawing, trimming, burring, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, and other structural assembly tasks. 

• Align aircraft components using jigs, fixtures, and templates to ensure precise assembly. 

• Measure and verify dimensions using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers. 

• Install aerospace fasteners, including rivets and Hi-Loks, in accordance with engineering specifications. 

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, manuals, and engineering publications to complete installations accurately. 

• Modify existing assemblies and incorporate engineering changes into completed structures. 

• Perform minor repairs, refinishing, and airframe corrosion removal as required. 

• Inspect completed work and monitor product quality using statistical process controls and established quality standards. 

• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while following all safety procedures and regulatory requirements. 

What We're Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• Progressive experience in aircraft structural assembly and fabrication. 

• Must own and maintain a complete set of tools in good working condition. 

• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, manuals, and technical publications. 

• Experience performing installations according to engineering drawings while maintaining proper edge distance and fastener pitch. 

• Proficiency in installing aerospace fasteners, including rivets and Hi-Loks. 

• Experience with structural assembly, minor part fitting, repair, refinishing, and airframe corrosion removal. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in the aerospace or defense industry. 

• Background supporting programs with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, or the U.S. Military. 

• Willingness and ability to travel as needed. 

• Experience working on complex aircraft structures and mission-critical aerospace systems. 

Work Environment 

• Work in both manufacturing and outdoor environments, with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions. 

• Regular exposure to loud production environments and occasional exposure to fumes and industrial materials. 

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and repetitive hand movements. 

• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

• Safety-sensitive position supporting aerospace manufacturing operations. 

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required as appropriate for the work environment.
