Inventory Analyst

Location: Tucson, AZ | Schedule: 1st shift 8am to 5pm | Pay range: $31.25 - $33.65/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with an industry-leading aerospace manufacturer to find a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring materials are available when needed, inventory is optimized, and operations run efficiently. Your expertise will directly support production performance, operational excellence, and the delivery of innovative aerospace solutions.

What You'll Do
As an Inventory Analyst, you'll work independently while collaborating across teams to improve inventory performance and support manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate, monitor, and report inventory activities for the business unit.
Develop and implement inventory strategies that align with material planning objectives.
Analyze inventory levels and material plans, providing recommendations to optimize stock while supporting production needs.
Generate weekly inventory forecasts and performance reports.
Reconcile inventory results with financial records to ensure data accuracy.
Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory issues while supporting continuous process improvement.
Provide guidance to production planners on planning best practices and maintaining data integrity.
Lead inventory control initiatives and projects that improve efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor surplus inventory, support action plans for excess materials, and coordinate redistribution of surplus parts across sites.
Negotiate with brokers to sell surplus inventory and manage the scrapping process in accordance with company procedures.
Support physical inventory counts and ensure compliance with inventory control processes.
Build productive relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders to achieve operational goals.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2–4 years of experience in inventory management, production planning, materials planning, or a related manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of inventory management principles, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), and manufacturing control systems.
Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with business applications and inventory management systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong negotiation and issue-resolution abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in aerospace, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with engineering change processes and product build lifecycles.
Experience leading inventory improvement projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
