Summary:

Reviews engineering drawings for electrical and electronic systems and assemblies.

Provides guidance on selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for wire harness and assembly design.

Supports fabrication and production of electrical and electronic boxes and assemblies.

Applies background in aerospace electrical wiring for interconnect systems.

Assists with updating program specifications for electrical wiring and part selection.

Defines requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in engineering design and manufacturing.

Produces specifications to manage deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.

Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.

Develops and qualifies new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.

Conducts analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts, or processes and implements corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experience with engineering drawing reviews for electrical and electronic systems.

Experience with selection of materials, processes, and standard parts for wire harness and assembly design.

Experience with fabrication and production of electrical and electronic boxes.

Background in aerospace electrical wiring and interconnect systems.

Experience updating program specifications for electrical wiring and part selection.

Experience defining requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.

Experience producing specifications and documents for deployment of tools and materials.

Experience developing and qualifying new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
