Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Executes materials tests to ASTM standards and specifications including hardness, tack-free time, and viscosity.
Reads, understands, and executes to ASTM standards for materials testing.
Performs fabrication and assembly techniques including bonding, sanding, drilling, and material surface preparation.
Mixes, weighs, and handles chemicals for material preparation and testing.
Interprets engineering drawings for fabrication and test setup.
Uses Windows-based MS Office suite for communication, scheduling, data processing, and data transfer.
Applies composites manufacturing and layup techniques.
Evaluates aerospace-grade materials, prototype parts, and assemblies for research and development projects.
Develops new testing methods and standard processes for verification and evaluation tasks.
Reports test results to customers after review with supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
5 years of experience executing materials tests to ASTM standards and specifications including hardness, tack-free time, and viscosity.
5 years of experience with fabrication and assembly techniques such as bonding, sanding, drilling, and material surface preparation.
5 years of experience mixing, weighing, and handling chemicals.
5 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings.
5+ years of proficiency in Windows-based MS Office suite for communication, scheduling, data processing, and data transfer.
Familiarity with composites manufacturing and layup techniques.
Ability to develop new testing methods and standard processes.
Ability to execute multiple technical activities concurrently (desired).
Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and coordination.
