Summary:
Fabricates complex high-quality furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using stationary and hand-held tools.
Interprets material specifications and design or engineering drawings to ensure finished product meets design and engineering requirements.
Utilizes a variety of woodworking tools and techniques for aircraft interior fabrication.
Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma techniques.
Utilizes material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.
Fabricates aircraft interiors including cabinetry, furnishings, and subassemblies per engineering specifications.
Applies knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.
Reads and interprets blueprints and engineering documentation for fabrication tasks.
Uses hand and power tools associated with cabinetmaking and aircraft interior fabrication.
Oversees projects and coordinates with lead to delegate tasks to assigned technicians.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High School Diploma or GED.
4 years of experience in cabinetmaking.
Strong skills in aircraft cabinetmaking with minimal supervision.
Experience reading and interpreting design or engineering drawings.
Experience using stationary and hand-held woodworking tools.
Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products.
Experience with material tracking systems for parts demand and work sign-off.
Preferred: Experience in aerospace industry.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, work in small restricted areas, and climb ladders and stairs.
