Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Performs removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels.

    Follows standard operating procedures using hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

    Prepares and installs aircraft interior items in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.

    Removes and re-installs nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors.

    Applies proper use of hardware and fittings on aircraft installations.

    Uses material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.

    Reads and interprets blueprints and engineering documentation for installation tasks.

    Coordinates with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures and FAA paperwork.

    Assists technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements.

    Works with lead and higher skilled technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.

Requirements:

    Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

    High School Diploma or GED.

    2 years of applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience.

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

    Experience using hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

    Experience removing and installing aircraft interior components including galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, and panels.

    Experience with removal and re-installation of nut plates, inserts, and fasteners.

    Experience using material tracking systems for parts demand and work sign-off.

    Knowledge of FAA paperwork and Repair Station procedures.

    Ability to use power tools and equipment associated with interior installation.
