Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer
Pay Rate: $74.50/hr
Shift: 1st 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to provide critical support for a growing LNG project portfolio. Due to increased project demand and a full-capacity engineering team, this role will play a vital part in maintaining project schedules, ensuring engineering excellence, and supporting successful customer delivery commitments.
The initial assignment will focus on the Commonwealth MCHE Module Project, followed by support across multiple active LNG projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned pipe stress professional who can quickly integrate into a project team and immediately contribute to complex engineering deliverables with minimal onboarding.
Perform pipe stress analysis for LNG piping systems using:
Bentley AutoPIPE
FEPipe
NozzlePro
Analyze piping systems to ensure structural integrity, operational reliability, and code compliance
Evaluate thermal, pressure, sustained, occasional, and dynamic loading conditions
Analyze piping loads imposed on:
Equipment shells
Nozzles
Reinforcement pads
Associated pressure-retaining components
Verify allowable loads and identify mitigation strategies when required
Ensure all analyses comply with:
ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code
Project-specific requirements
LNG engineering standards
Review calculations and engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and quality
Deliver stress analysis packages aligned with project schedules and milestones
Support engineering teams in resolving pipe stress and equipment interface issues
Coordinate with Vessel Design, Mechanical, and Project Engineering teams
Contribute directly to backlog reduction and workload stabilization efforts
Support the Commonwealth MCHE Module Project and additional LNG programs
Accelerate engineering deliverables on critical-path activities
Provide rapid technical support to ensure project objectives remain on schedule
Extensive experience performing Pipe Stress Analysis
Proficiency with:
Bentley AutoPIPE
FEPipe
NozzlePro
Strong working knowledge of:
ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code
LNG piping systems
Equipment load evaluation and nozzle analysis
Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting complex industrial, LNG, petrochemical, or process plant projects
LNG process facility experience
Experience supporting modularized process equipment projects
Familiarity with:
Heat exchangers
Pressure vessels
Cryogenic piping systems
Equipment interface analysis
Experience working within fast-paced EPC, process engineering, or owner-operator environments
Ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines
