In this hands-on role, you'll perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of sophisticated aerospace electronics and avionics equipment. Your technical expertise will play a critical role in ensuring customers receive reliable, high-quality products that meet the industry's highest performance and safety standards.
What You'll Do
As an Electronics Technician, you'll work in a precision bench environment, diagnosing and repairing moderate to complex electronic and avionics systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and avionics equipment returned from airlines, airframe manufacturers, dealers, and other customers.
Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of circuit card assemblies, including transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other electronic components.
Set up and operate precision test equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, ohmmeters, and automated test equipment.
Align and adjust complex electrical components to ensure proper circuit operation and performance.
Analyze electrical circuitry, inspect wiring, and identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
Perform detailed electrical and mechanical disassembly, repair, and reassembly of electronic units.
Verify that all repairs and modifications meet established workmanship and quality standards.
Accurately document repairs, modifications, labor time, and testing results using SAP and service documentation.
Prepare repair estimates, including costs for extensive repairs, overhauls, rebuilds, and required service bulletins.
Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Follow all safety procedures and assist the team in meeting production schedules and customer commitments.
Required Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent with formal post HS electronics training or equivalent as a minimum REQUIRED education
Associate degree in Electronics Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent vocational certificate, is preferred.
Surface-mount and through-hole soldering experience is required.
Strong understanding of electronic components and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, follow repair procedures, and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing component-level electronic repairs.
RF (Radio Frequency) repair experience.
Experience working with avionics systems or aerospace electronics.
Familiarity with SAP or other manufacturing/service documentation systems.
Experience using advanced electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and automated test systems.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
