What You'll Do
As a Technical Designer, you'll work closely with program managers, engineering leads, and cross-functional teams to support engineering design, drafting, and configuration management activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Create, revise, and maintain engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Develop and modify 3D CAD models and design layouts.
Perform configuration management for engineering drawings and related data.
Model existing equipment using 3D CAD software.
Investigate and resolve moderately complex manufacturing and engineering-related issues.
Verify the accuracy and quality of engineering data produced by team members.
Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design processes.
Coordinate priorities and project workloads with program managers and engineering leadership.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD, CATIA, and NX.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and technical procedures.
Understanding of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and engineering documentation required to define delivery configurations, including design definitions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, functional tests, and supplier data.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in Design Engineering.
Experience collaborating effectively on cross-functional, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Knowledge of material selection and identification for parts and components.
Understanding of the roles and responsibilities across engineering disciplines, including design, testing, and manufacturing.
