Job Type: Full time; Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Tukwila, WA
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 1st 7AM - 3:30PM
As a Test & Evaluation Lab Tech, you'll help drive innovation by planning, conducting, and documenting tests on products, systems, materials, and manufacturing technologies. Your work will directly contribute to the validation, reliability, and performance of aviation components and systems, helping bring advanced aerospace solutions from concept to reality.
Develop and validate:
Test articles
Test rigs
Fixtures
Load introduction systems
Instrumentation strategies
Design test setups in collaboration with Design Engineering and Fabrication teams
Coordinate test requirements and determine appropriate test methods and capabilities
Operate test hardware and software to execute test plans and procedures
Support structural testing of aerospace components and assemblies
Follow detailed:
Test procedures
Safety plans
Test checklists
Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company requirements
Perform data reduction and test result analysis
Prepare:
Technical reports
Test summaries
Engineering documentation
Communicate test findings and recommendations to project stakeholders
Support multiple test programs simultaneously
Assist entry-level and mid-level technicians with:
Test setup
Test execution
Documentation activities
Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and laboratory personnel
Basic PC skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
1+ years of experience in a laboratory, testing, or engineering environment
Experience planning and executing:
Structural static tests
Fatigue tests
Proof load tests
Experience testing:
Metallic airframe structures
Composite airframe structures
Familiarity with:
Servo-hydraulic test machines
Load cells
Test fixtures
Structural testing safety practices
CATIA
SolidWorks
