Quality Inspector – Ensure Excellence in Aerospace Quality & Compliance
Pay Rate: $43.05/hr
Location: San Antonio, TX
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Qaulity Inspector to support aerospace quality and product verification activities. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for inspecting aircraft parts and customer orders, validating regulatory documentation, and ensuring products meet all FAA, customer, and company requirements before shipment.
This position is ideal for quality professionals with aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industry experience who are passionate about accuracy, compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Perform detailed inspections of customer orders and aircraft components
Verify product conformance to engineering, regulatory, and customer requirements
Validate FAA Type Approval codes and part applications
Ensure all products meet quality and regulatory standards before release
Complete and review:
FAA Form 8130-3
ATA 106 documentation
Customer-specific documentation requirements
Verify documentation accuracy and completeness
Ensure compliance with FAA, CAA, Boeing, and customer requirements
Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming products
Support quality investigations and corrective actions when needed
Perform verification activities in accordance with customer flow-down requirements
Support other Quality Assurance functions as assigned
Enter and maintain accurate records within SAP
Scan and route materials through quality inspection processes
Track inspection status and documentation requirements
Support efficient workflow and order processing
Work closely with Quality, Operations, Logistics, and Customer Support teams
Communicate inspection results and quality concerns effectively
Help ensure timely order completion and customer satisfaction
4+ years of experience in:
Aerospace
Manufacturing
Quality Assurance
Other regulated industries
4+ years of SAP experience
4+ years of quality inspection experience
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
2+ years of experience working in a cross-functional team environment
Aerospace quality or regulatory compliance experience
Familiarity with FAA documentation and aviation quality systems
Experience supporting customer-specific quality requirements
Ability to:
Ascend and descend ladders
Work in confined spaces
Lift approximately 35 lbs.
Stand and walk for extended periods
Frequently reach overhead
Work on elevated platforms
Ability to pass:
Visual acuity testing
Color perception testing
Comfortable working around:
Noise
Metals
Manufacturing equipment
Hazardous materials (with appropriate PPE)
