PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace and defense industry to hire an experienced Avionics Technician IV. In this role, you'll perform advanced avionics installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair while ensuring aircraft systems meet rigorous safety, quality, and performance standards.
What You'll Do
Perform avionics maintenance in accordance with FCC, FM, and company policies and regulations.
Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components.
Route and install aircraft wiring using technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications to complete maintenance and installation tasks.
Perform advanced wiring installation, wiring repair, soldering, crimping, and avionics component integration.
Maintain avionics test equipment, tools, and technical manuals.
Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards in a safety-sensitive environment.
Mentor and support less experienced technicians while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Extensive experience performing avionics maintenance, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical publications.
Advanced skills in avionics installation tooling, wire routing, wiring installation, wiring repair, soldering, and crimping techniques.
Must provide your own tools in good working condition.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in indoor and outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with FCC regulations and FCC GROL certification.
Experience mentoring and guiding junior technicians.
Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, spectrometers, and pitot static test equipment.
Background in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or military aviation.
