Summary:
Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
Performs rework and resolves high-risk non-conformances on aircraft components.
Investigates product defects and plans, organizes, and completes large-scale removal and restoration processes with various stakeholders.
Assembles, disassembles, and modifies components by changing, removing, or replacing to correct failures or implement changes.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance for repairs, replacements, modifications, and inspection results.
Removes and replaces components for repair or replacement to support product serviceability.
Measures and makes adjustments independently using shims, lapping, or other documented processes to ensure correct tolerances.
Independently performs modifications to satisfy deliverable products.
Interprets required engineering drawings, instructions, and technical specifications to advise less experienced technicians.
Adheres to FAA Part 145 Repair Station and Form 8130-3 requirements, including prep, review, and compliance.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Minimum 3 years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
Minimum 2 years of 737 OR 787 Program Experience.
1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes including FOD control, tool control, and health and safety.
Experience with assembly, disassembly, and modification of aircraft components.
Experience documenting repairs and modifications per regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to independently measure and adjust components using shims, lapping, or other documented processes.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
High School diploma or GED with typically 4 or more years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school or Associate degree with 2+ years, Bachelor's degree).
