Summary:

Reviews supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

Documents processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design, qualification, certification, and manufacturing of electrical components.

Provides technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites.

Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in an agile environment.

Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Applies knowledge of verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes including DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and D6 requirements.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent directly related to the work statement.

5+ years of related work experience in electrical design and integration.

Knowledge of verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes including DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and D6 requirements.

Experience documenting, testing, and troubleshooting the qualification and certification of electronic and electrical components and line replaceable units.

Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification regulations and requirements.

Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Demonstrates systems thinking to understand inter-relationships between components and systems.

Preferred: Analytical skills to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, and engineering judgment to ensure product design integrity.
