Lead Aerospace Innovation as a Project Manager

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Project Manager. If you're a strategic leader with a passion for managing complex, cross-functional projects, this is your opportunity to oversee initiatives that support cutting-edge aerospace technologies and critical business objectives. 

In this role, you'll lead high-impact projects focused on Jurisdiction & Classification and Hardware Export Management, ensuring successful execution while collaborating with engineering, technology, and business leaders to deliver results on time and within scope. 

What You'll Do 

As a Project Manager, you'll provide leadership from project planning through execution, ensuring teams remain aligned, risks are managed, and business objectives are achieved. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery while communicating project vision, scope, and objectives to stakeholders. 

• Define project deliverables, develop detailed schedules, and manage timelines using Microsoft Project. 

• Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams while fostering collaboration and accountability. 

• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and opportunities to ensure successful project outcomes. 

• Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop effective mitigation plans. 

• Escalate project risks and challenges with recommended solutions to leadership. 

• Present project updates, metrics, and key decisions to senior leadership. 

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously through effective prioritization and resource management. 

• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives that enhance project execution. 

• Ensure project activities align with customer expectations, business goals, and contractual commitments. 

What We're Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 10–15 years of relevant project management experience, or 15–20 years of equivalent experience without a degree. 

• Experience managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, or software development projects. 

• Proven experience developing and managing project schedules using Microsoft Project. 

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to travel up to 25% as required. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 

• Experience with both Waterfall and Agile Scrum project management methodologies. 

• Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries. 

• Familiarity with export compliance, hardware management, or enterprise technology initiatives.
