PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Avionics Engineer. About the Role 

As a Senior Avionics Engineer, you'll lead complex engineering projects, drive innovative avionics solutions, and support the integration, testing, and certification of advanced aircraft systems. You'll work across multidisciplinary teams to solve challenging technical problems while helping introduce new technologies that define the future of aerospace. 

What You'll Do 

• Lead complex avionics engineering projects from development through certification. 

• Integrate and validate avionics systems for advanced aircraft programs. 

• Analyze and resolve system issues identified during system integration lab testing and flight test activities. 

• Support aircraft certification efforts, including compliance with FAA Part 25 and EASA requirements. 

• Apply innovative engineering methods and champion new technologies and R&D initiatives. 

• Conduct technical research and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership across the organization. 

What We're Looking For 

Required: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 

• 15+ years of avionics engineering experience. 

• Proven experience integrating avionics systems. 

• Strong understanding of DO-178 and DO-254 development processes. 

• Experience with system integration laboratories and aircraft functional or flight testing. 

• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex system issues. 

• Strong communication, analytical, and technical leadership skills. 

Preferred: 

• Master's degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline. 

• Experience with IBM DOORS or equivalent requirements management tools. 

• Knowledge of FAA Part 25 and EASA certification processes. 

• Experience introducing new technologies and leading innovative engineering initiatives.
