FAA Assembler
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
Shift: 1st 5 am - 1:30 pm - Monday - Friday
This is a contract to hire position.
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented FAA Assembler to support the assembly, testing, calibration, and repair of aircraft-related components and assemblies. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or production experience who enjoy working with tools, following specifications, and producing high-quality products.
In this position, you'll play a critical role in ensuring components meet stringent aerospace quality and performance standards before they move into service.
Assemble fabricated parts and components at designated workstations
Use hand tools and power tools to build products according to engineering specifications and work instructions
Follow established procedures to ensure quality and consistency throughout the assembly process
Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet required tolerances and specifications
Verify product performance and functionality
Document test results and support quality requirements
Identify units that fail testing or tolerance requirements
Perform repairs, adjustments, and rework as necessary
Work closely with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues
Maintain compliance with FAA, company, and quality standards
Follow all safety procedures and established manufacturing guidelines
Ensure accurate completion of required production documentation
High School Diploma or GED
2–4 years of experience in:
Mechanical assembly
Manufacturing
Production operations
Related technical fields
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow written instructions, specifications, and procedures
Apprenticeship, technical training, or vocational education in a related field
Aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial assembly experience
Experience performing testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies
Familiarity with quality control and inspection processes
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment if authorized and trained
