Senior Test Technician
Pay Rate: $32.00/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Sr. Test Technician to support aerospace testing operations for advanced inertial navigation products. In this role, you'll perform testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and validation activities that directly impact the performance, quality, and reliability of mission-critical aerospace systems.

Conduct operational testing on inertial navigation production units
Perform setup, calibration, testing, and verification of electronic systems
Validate performance and compliance with product specifications
Collect and analyze test data to support engineering decisions
Troubleshoot electronics at:
System level
Circuit level
Component level
Diagnose failures and support Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations
Repair and requalify test stations and electronic assemblies
Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
Assemble, qualify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair test stations
Assist with setup of specialized aerospace test equipment
Manage laboratory equipment inventory
Recommend improvements to laboratory processes and equipment
Read and interpret:
Schematics
Drawings
Procedures
Standard work instructions
Document testing activities, findings, and recommendations
Generate reports that support engineering and production teams
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
Support production schedules and troubleshooting efforts
Provide guidance to entry-level technicians as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Engineering Technician, Electronics Technician, Test Technician, or similar role
Minimum 2 years of electronics experience
Minimum 2 years of electronic testing experience
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting skills at:
System level
Component level
Experience with:
DC circuits
Electronic assemblies
Test equipment
Experience performing test station assembly, qualification, troubleshooting, and repair
Basic computer skills including:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Timekeeping systems
Manufacturing systems
Aerospace or avionics testing experience
Experience with:
CIRTS
DEWESOFT
Similar aerospace test software
Experience supporting Failure Review Boards (FRB)
Strong technical documentation skills
Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians
Manufacturing test environment experience
Frequent use of hands for precision work
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Ability to work with small components and tools
May require microscope work
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
Repetitive hand motions throughout shift
Occasional lifting of light materials
Team lift or assisted equipment required for heavier objects
