Electrical Design Engineer- Long Beach CA

Description:
In this dynamic position, you will leverage your expertise to design and implement electrical solutions that enhance aircraft capabilities and operational efficiency. You will work on projects that involve retrofitting existing aircraft with advanced connectivity systems or the latest interior accommodations, all with the goal of optimizing electrical systems and ensuring seamless integration of new technologies. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort of passengers, and the performance and reliability of aircraft, enabling our customers to maintain competitive advantages in the aviation market.

Position Responsibilities:
• Review supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
• Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
• Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design, qualification, certification, and manufacturing of electrical components
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in an agile environment, utilizing the latest tools and methodologies to deliver innovative solutions
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness
• Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs

Required Skills:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures (e.g. DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and D6 requirements), including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience documenting, testing, and troubleshooting the qualification and certification of electronic and electrical components and line replaceable units.
• Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification regulations and requirements
• Ability to assess, evaluate, and document test or analysis data to show compliance to FAA and EASA regulations, and Boeing requirements.
• 5+ years of related work experience

This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance
