Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Performs quality assurance testing of fluids and lubricants.
Performs tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
Maintains laboratory equipment including calibration certification and ensures compliant lab environment.
Prepares laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate or verify instrument performance.
Conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures.
Generates test plans, identifies and categorizes failure, determines root cause, and documents results and recommendations.
Supports proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.
Operates analytical test equipment including XRF, FTIR, pH meters, Automated Titrators, GC, and GC or MS.
Performs laboratory testing to standards including ASTM and SAE.
Applies 5S requirements and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Laboratory experience operating analytical test equipment including XRF, FTIR, pH meters, Automated Titrators, manual Titration practices, GC, and GC or MS.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
Experience documenting and communicating test results to customers.
Experience performing laboratory testing to standards including ASTM and SAE.
Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule.
Experience maintaining laboratory equipment including calibration certification.
Experience preparing laboratory reagents and standards for instrument performance verification.
Experience generating test plans and performing root cause analysis for failed parts and processes.
