Product Review Engineer 3 — 6-month onsite contract in Tukwila, WA at $80/Hour — through CTS International. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required.
Must be able to support any shift.
Applies knowledge of Company design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle. Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances. Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions. Identifies documents, analyzes reported problems and communicates deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommends and manages resolution. Develops and implements product/process improvements. Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews. Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment. Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Company standards. Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Participates in on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team. Analyzes damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment. Designs interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis. Develops non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards. Conducts simple static strength analysis.
Company Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a motivated & experienced Product Review Engineer to support the E7 program located in Tukwila, WA. The ideal candidate will have a Liaison Engineering/Product Review background.
Position Responsibilities: • Develop and devise Engineering dispositions for the E7 Aircraft in BDS production line. • Design structural repairs and Conducts simple static strength analysis. • Apply knowledge of Company design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle • Analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances • Apply engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions • Communicates proactively with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Design, and management personnel. • Identify documents, analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommend and manage resolution • Develop and implement product/process improvements • Represent the engineering community in the build through post production environment • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Company standards • Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment • Design interim structural repairs and conducts simple static strength analysis • Develop non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards • Develop effective troubleshooting approaches for electrical, communications, and mission systems faults. • Represent the Engineering community in the build through post production • Supports the Integrated Product Team as the on site Engineering Representative. • Must have strong communication skills. Qualifications: Prior MRB experience/product review experience 5+ years of experience - will accept flexibility
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): • BS in an Engineering degree. • 3+ years of engineering experience. • Strong Communication Skills are a must. • Must be willing to work second shift. • Must be willing to work overtime including weekends when required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience): • BS in an Engineering Degree (typically an ABET accredited Engineering degree is preferred) • Present Material Review Board authority is a definite plus. • Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment and . • Problem Solving is a daily job. Must be hands on and highly motivated to help.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
