Position Details




  • Job Title: Project Integration Engineer
  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
  • Location: Oklahoma City, OK
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $66.98 per hour
  • Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
  • Travel: Minimal, as required

As a Project Integration Engineer, you'll serve as the critical link between engineering disciplines, project teams, stakeholders, and customers. You'll coordinate technical activities, manage integration efforts, track project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that complex avionics and flight control development programs stay aligned with schedule, quality, and delivery objectives.



Your work will directly contribute to the successful deployment and sustainment of advanced aerospace capabilities supporting the C-17 platform and future aviation initiatives.





What You'll Do



Program Integration & Coordination




  • Lead project integration activities across multiple engineering disciplines and functional teams.
  • Ensure teams execute program objectives according to established schedules and milestones.
  • Coordinate technical work products and deliverables required for downstream program activities.
  • Facilitate communication between geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.


Project Planning & Execution




  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and integration plans.
  • Track progress, identify obstacles, and implement mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
  • Coordinate Support Systems Requirements and Readiness Reviews.
  • Ensure support system elements are accurately defined and aligned with program objectives.


Technical Leadership




  • Collaborate with engineering teams supporting avionics development, software testing, verification and validation, technical publications, and logistics support.
  • Drive project execution from requirements definition through validation and delivery.
  • Support Fielding Certification Board (FCB) activities by ensuring support system readiness and compliance.


Stakeholder & Customer Engagement




  • Serve as a key interface between internal organizations and external customers.
  • Communicate project status, risks, resolutions, and critical updates.
  • Develop strong partnerships that support successful program execution and customer satisfaction.


Risk Management & Continuous Improvement




  • Proactively identify risks, challenges, and dependencies before they impact program schedules.
  • Develop and coordinate mitigation plans.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across teams to achieve successful outcomes.




Required Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM-related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management or engineering integration within complex development programs.
  • 3+ years of project scheduling experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience working across multiple departments and technical disciplines toward shared objectives.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while managing multiple priorities.




Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience in Project Engineering or Project Integration roles.
  • Avionics Project Integration or Project Engineering experience.
  • Avionics software development experience.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Air Force Support Equipment.
  • Experience supporting logistics support element development and delivery.
  • Strong project planning and execution skills.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative, high-performing teams.
  • Ability to drive results through proactive communication, organization, and persistence.

Pay Details: $66.98 per hour
