Position Details

• Job Title: Software Engineer

• Location: Orlando, FL

• Duration: 15-Month Consultant Assignment

• Schedule: Monday–Thursday | First Shift | 4/10 Schedule

• Pay Rate: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Work Arrangement: Full-Time Onsite

• Security Clearance: Ability to Obtain Required

Your Impact

As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software that supports complex business and mission objectives. Your work will help solve challenging technical problems, improve system performance, and contribute to the success of critical aerospace and aviation programs.

From software architecture to debugging and documentation, you'll play a key role throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Software Development & Engineering

• Design, develop, document, test, and maintain software applications and systems.

• Translate technical requirements into efficient software solutions.

• Create logical and mathematical solutions to complex business and mission challenges.

• Ensure software products meet established quality, performance, and reliability standards.

Full Software Development Lifecycle

• Participate in planning, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance activities.

• Apply approved software development processes, standards, and best practices.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Testing & Debugging

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.

• Analyze program functionality and system capabilities.

• Perform software validation and verification activities to ensure compliance with requirements.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and end users to understand requirements.

• Utilize development tools and version control systems to support team collaboration.

• Contribute to process improvements and technical solutions that enhance program success.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing software using C++.

• Familiarity with GitLab and version control best practices.

• Knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle processes.

• Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, defense, or mission-critical software programs.

• Experience with software testing, integration, and verification activities.

• Understanding of software quality standards and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with systems engineering and hardware/software integration environments.

• Experience working within Agile or collaborative development teams.
