Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

Schedule: 3/10 Schedule | Second Shift

Pay Rate: $53.19 per hour

What You'll Do



As a Milling Machine Machinist, you will:




  • Set up and operate horizontal, vertical, and multi-axis numerical control (NC/CNC) machines.
  • Perform complex machining operations including:

    • Compound angle and contour machining
    • Helical and spiral milling
    • Boring compound angular holes
    • Gear, spline, keyway, and serration cutting


  • Select, mount, align, and adjust specialized machine attachments and tooling.
  • Determine machining sequences, cutting methods, feeds, and speeds to achieve precise results.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, dial indicators, inspection gauges, and torque tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Conduct quality inspections and support statistical process control and quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor automated equipment, robotic systems, and computer-controlled manufacturing interfaces.
  • Maintain accurate production records, machine performance logs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Follow strict safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications



To be successful in this role, you should have:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of additional education and/or related machining experience.
  • Experience with CNC machining and robotics-assisted manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including:

    • Micrometers
    • Preset torque tools
    • Reference inspection gauges
    • Dial indicators


  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a 3/10 schedule on second shift.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.


Preferred Qualifications



We're especially interested in candidates who have:




  • Formal CNC Machining Certificate.
  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with advanced machining techniques and multi-axis machinery.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details: $53.19 per hour
