We’re seeking a highly experienced Principal Systems Engineer to serve as a technical leader within a propulsion engine control systems group. In this role, you’ll drive the development, integration, and performance of advanced engine control systems across a portfolio of gas turbine engines.

 What You’ll Do

Requirements Engineering Leadership

• Lead requirements-based engineering efforts, including:
  
  
  
  
  • Requirements analysis, decomposition, and validation
    
  • Verification and change management
    
  
  
  
• Define and refine engine control system and component-level requirements
  

System & Component Development

• Contribute to the design and development of engine control systems and hardware components
  
• Support integration across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Serve as a technical focal point for internal stakeholders and leadership
  
• Mentor and support junior engineers
  
• Drive strategic reuse of system requirements and features across programs
  
• Influence improvements in development cost, efficiency, and timelines
  

Collaboration & Program Execution

• Coordinate with:
  
  
  
  • Chief engineers and technical experts
    
  • Program management teams
    
  • Internal and external customers
    
  
  
  
• Provide supplier technical oversight and project coordination
  
• Support Agile development processes and program planning
  
• Assist with field issue troubleshooting and system support
  

 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM discipline
  
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience
  
• Strong background in propulsion control systems and requirements engineering
  
• Experience working within aerospace or engine systems environments
  
• Ability to lead complex technical efforts and influence stakeholders
  

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gas turbine engines or internal combustion engine controls
  
• Familiarity with:
  
  
  
  • ARP4754A (Systems Development)
    
  • DO-178C (Software Certification)
    
  
  
  
• Knowledge of control systems and supporting hardware components
  
• Experience in program/project engineering and customer interfacing
  
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional, global teams
