Pay Rate: $93.00/hr
We’re seeking a highly experienced Principal Systems Engineer to serve as a technical leader within a propulsion engine control systems group. In this role, you’ll drive the development, integration, and performance of advanced engine control systems across a portfolio of gas turbine engines.
This is a high-impact, senior-level opportunity for someone passionate about propulsion systems, controls engineering, and requirements-driven development, with the ability to influence both technology and teams.
What You’ll Bring (Top Expertise Required)
Proven experience working within Aerospace Engines & Power Systems environments
Deep expertise in propulsion engine control systems
Strong background in requirements-based systems engineering for controls
What You’ll Do
Requirements Engineering Leadership
Lead requirements-based engineering efforts, including:
Requirements analysis, decomposition, and validation
Verification and change management
Define and refine engine control system and component-level requirements
System & Component Development
Contribute to the design and development of engine control systems and hardware components
Support integration across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Technical Leadership & Strategy
Serve as a technical focal point for internal stakeholders and leadership
Mentor and support junior engineers
Drive strategic reuse of system requirements and features across programs
Influence improvements in development cost, efficiency, and timelines
Collaboration & Program Execution
Coordinate with:
Chief engineers and technical experts
Program management teams
Internal and external customers
Provide supplier technical oversight and project coordination
Support Agile development processes and program planning
Assist with field issue troubleshooting and system support
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM discipline
10+ years of professional engineering experience
Strong background in propulsion control systems and requirements engineering
Experience working within aerospace or engine systems environments
Ability to lead complex technical efforts and influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with gas turbine engines or internal combustion engine controls
Familiarity with:
ARP4754A (Systems Development)
DO-178C (Software Certification)
Knowledge of control systems and supporting hardware components
Experience in program/project engineering and customer interfacing
Proven ability to work in cross-functional, global teams

Pay Details: $93.00 per hour
