Test, Troubleshoot, and Support Critical Aerospace Systems as a FAA Sr. Engineering Technician with PDS Tech!



Pay Rate: $44.00/hr

Shift: Day Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM)

 



We’re seeking an experienced Sr. Engineering Technician to support engineering and production test operations for FAA-regulated aerospace products. This role is highly hands-on and focused on diagnostics, repair, and validation of electronic systems.

 What You’ll Do



 Testing & Validation




  • Execute test procedures and plans to validate product performance and reliability
  • Support testing of production and development parts
  • Assist in product validation and engineering verification activities




 Troubleshooting & Repair




  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Perform repairs on:

    • Electronic assemblies
    • Computer components
    • Peripheral systems


  • Conduct component-level troubleshooting




 Test Equipment & Fabrication




  • Build and fabricate:

    • Test consoles
    • Computer systems
    • Cable harnesses
    • Test setups and equipment


  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of test equipment




 Root Cause & Continuous Improvement




  • Investigate failures and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Develop and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve products, processes, and quality




 What You’ll Need




  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong experience in hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Experience repairing electronic and computer systems
  • Strong ability with electrical testing and diagnostics to component level
  • Knowledge of test methods, electronic test equipment, and calibration
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings




 Preferred Qualifications




  • Technical certification or Associate’s degree in electronics or related field
  • Solder certification (J-STD)
  • Experience with cable/harness fabrication
  • Experience with automated test stands (ATE)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma / root cause methodologies
  • Background in aerospace, avionics, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing

Pay Details: $44.00 per hour
