PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Tool Coordinator to support a global leader in the aviation industry in San Antonio, TX. As a Tool Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting aircraft maintenance and production operations by managing materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring critical resources are available when and where they're needed.



Position Details




  • Job Title: Tool Coordinator
  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
  • Location: San Antonio, TX
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Shift: Must be available to work both 1st and 2nd Shift as needed
  • Pay Rate: $27.22 per hour

What You'll Do




  • Route materials to designated storage locations following established procedures.
  • Conduct inventory counts and report damaged, missing, or deteriorated materials.
  • Remove, issue, package, and prepare materials for shipment.
  • Review production schedules to ensure necessary materials and hardware are available to support operational requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability to meet schedule demands.
  • Investigate material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and supply challenges, implementing effective solutions.
  • Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, tool control procedures, FOD requirements, inventory controls, and facility standards.
  • Perform inventory tracking, documentation, and accountability activities.
  • Support configuration control and material management initiatives.
  • Perform analysis of inventory, scheduling, and material requirement issues to drive operational improvements.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support company and program objectives.


Required Qualifications




  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years of warehouse inventory experience, including parts accountability and inventory accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with inventory management systems and general business applications.
  • Current forklift license or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.


Physical & Work Environment Requirements



Candidates must be able to:




  • Ascend and descend ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Lift and carry loads up to approximately 35 pounds independently.
  • Participate in team lifts for items exceeding 50 pounds when required.
  • Work around noise and on elevated platforms.
  • Frequently stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, squat, crawl, and balance on uneven surfaces.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Pass visual acuity and color perception testing.
  • Read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Handle and properly dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications and training.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, maintenance, or logistics operations.
  • Previous experience with tool control programs and inventory tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of material planning, production scheduling, and warehouse best practices.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or safety-focused environments.

Pay Details: $27.22 per hour
