PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aviation and aerospace organization to hire a Manufacturing Planner for a 6-month full-time consultant opportunity supporting the prestigious E-4B program in San Antonio, Texas.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in aerospace manufacturing by developing manufacturing plans, creating technical data packages, supporting production readiness, and helping ensure complex aircraft modifications and installations are completed efficiently and accurately.

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $38 to $42 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
As a Manufacturing Planner, you'll help bridge the gap between engineering and production by developing the plans, instructions, and documentation needed to bring complex aerospace projects to life. Your work will directly support aircraft modifications, manufacturing operations, and supplier activities that contribute to mission-critical aviation programs.
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans and work instructions.
Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production activities.
Develop technical data packages for supplier use.
Prepare illustrations and documentation to define and capture as-built configurations.
Create installation planning packages and provide installation support for aircraft modifications in San Antonio.
Assist with tooling identification and processing tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
Support timely delivery of engineering releases and manufacturing deliverables.
Investigate and help resolve manufacturing-related issues affecting production.
Analyze design concepts and evaluate manufacturability to ensure efficient production processes.
Identify alternative solutions to meet producibility requirements.
Participate in process and tool improvement initiatives that enhance team performance and efficiency.
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and internal business teams.
Assist in developing work statements and sequencing activities.
Review, monitor, and maintain internal manufacturing documentation.
Associate degree in a related discipline and at least 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 1 year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.
Minimum 1 year of experience applying technical writing skills in a professional setting.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
Gold ESP experience.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience supporting aircraft modification, installation planning, or aerospace manufacturing projects.
Familiarity with engineering release processes and manufacturing documentation systems.
