Summary:
Plans and leads teams that support implementation of strategic business initiatives and manufacturing and tooling enhancements.
Analyzes new technologies, concepts, and processes that simplify and improve manufacturing processes.
Supports benchmarking of industry to determine best practices.
Leads integration of major, complex suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
Participates in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
Develops unique and innovative tooling requirements in alignment with strategic initiatives.
Establishes processes for managing tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
Leads investigations of critical manufacturing related issues and develops solutions with broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Researches and develops unique and innovative manufacturing concepts and influences design to ensure efficient manufacturing and optimum value.
Presents business case and trade study recommendations to leadership and develops complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
AA degree in related discipline and typically 9 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing production environment.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Planning systems such as Product Data Manager (PDM) and Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP).
Experience leading integration of suppliers, processes, materials, and technology for manufacturing.
Experience developing tooling requirements and managing tooling from design to disposition.
Experience leading investigations of manufacturing issues and developing solutions.
Experience presenting business cases and trade study recommendations to leadership.
Experience developing complex work statements and sequencing of events for delivery commitments.
