Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Assembles, disassembles, and modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

    Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repairs faulty components.

    Performs validation and verification testing of systems and components including pretest, operational, functional, electrical, mechanical, and final testing.

    Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance for repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection results.

    Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

    Troubleshoots integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic and electromechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, subassemblies, Alternate Mission Equipment, and test equipment.

    Performs maintenance, repair, inspection, fabrication, and modification of integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic and electro-mechanical components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, and their subassemblies.

    Removes and installs integrated conventional weapons systems electronic components, fire control systems, electro-environmental systems, bomb navigation systems, and subassemblies.

    Accomplishes configuration changes of integrated conventional weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies on assigned aircraft and equipment based on mission requirements.

    Performs explosive operations, loads and unloads, positions, arms, and safes all assigned conventional air munitions and pyrotechnics on assigned aircraft and equipment.

Requirements:

    Active Secret Security Clearance Required to Start

    Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

    Must possess an active Secret security clearance required to start.

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    3 to 5 years of significant military avionics experience on any platform.

    Experience troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and configuring avionics and weapons systems on aircraft.

    Experience with maintenance, repair, and inspection of integrated conventional weapons systems, electronic and electro-mechanical components, fire control systems, and electro-environmental systems.

    Experience performing operational, functional, and final testing of avionics and weapons systems.

    Experience with configuration changes of weapons control, launch, release, and suspension assemblies.

    Experience with explosive operations including loading, unloading, arming, and safing air munitions and pyrotechnics.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
