About the Role

As an Electrical/Electronic Installation Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and integrating the electrical systems that keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently. Working on a major wire installation project, you'll develop and maintain wire routing designs throughout the aircraft while ensuring compliance, manufacturability, and system performance.

Position Details

• Location: Renton, WA
  
• Job Type: Full-Time Consultant
  
• Duration: 4 Months
  
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  
• Pay Rate: Starting at $57.87 per hour
  

What You'll Do

As a key member of the Electrical Design team, you will:

• Develop and maintain cable and wire harness detail and assembly designs
  
• Design wire routing solutions throughout aircraft structures and systems
  
• Create and update electrical product, assembly, and installation designs
  
• Develop designs for electrical equipment installations, cable geometries, power panels, equipment racks, and related systems
  
• Utilize CATIA V5 and 3D modeling tools to create accurate design solutions
  
• Conduct design analyses and participate in engineering design reviews
  
• Evaluate functional and physical requirements to ensure complete system integration
  
• Provide engineering dispositions for production discrepancies, rejection tags, and revision requests
  
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, specifications, procedures, and work statements
  
• Support supplier evaluations and technical capability reviews
  
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supplier teams to ensure successful implementation of designs
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  
• 5+ years of engineering experience
  
• Proficiency with CATIA V5
  
• Experience with 3D modeling and design
  
• Experience supporting wire routing design projects
  
• Strong understanding of electrical installation design principles
  
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop integrated design solutions
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace or aviation industry experience
  
• Experience designing electrical installations within complex systems
  
• Knowledge of aircraft electrical architectures and wire harness systems
  
• Familiarity with supplier coordination and production support activities
  
• Experience participating in design reviews and configuration management processes
