CAD Technician

Location: Fort Mitchell, KY

Pay: $26.60 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Consistent day shift, weekends off)

Work Environment: Clean combination of office (CAD design) and lab/shop floor (3D printing & finishing)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• CAD Design & 3D Modeling: Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings (SolidWorks preferred), translating sketches and engineering concepts into functional digital designs.

• 3D Printing Operations: Set up, calibrate, and monitor 3D printers (FDM, SLA, SLS) using slicing software (Cura, Orca Slicer, Bambu Studio) to manage print queues.

• Post-Processing & Quality Control: Perform hands-on finishing work (support removal, sanding, curing) and inspect finished parts for high accuracy and specifications.

• Collaboration: Work alongside Product Development and Design teams to iterate parts based on testing and feedback.

What We Are Looking For:

• Education/Experience: Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in CAD or engineering technology.

• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and familiarity with 3D print slicing software.

• Mechanical Aptitude: A natural knack for electronics and mechanics—someone who loves to take things apart, put them back together, and troubleshoot equipment calibrations.

• Safety & Detail Focus: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a willingness to wear proper PPE (including a respirator) when handling specific print materials.

• Physical Ability: Comfortable with light physical lab work, including handling materials and climbing ladders.
