PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a premier aviation industry leader to hire skilled Fabrication Specialists (Technicians) in New Orleans, LA.  Role Overview: Your Impact



As a Fabrication Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing, coating, and protecting aircraft components that operate in demanding environments. Your work directly supports the integrity and longevity of flight hardware, helping ensure aircraft meet rigorous safety and performance standards.





 What You’ll Do — Day-to-Day Responsibilities




  • Apply organic coatings to meet corrosion protection and appearance requirements
  • Perform paint preparation and application using brush, roll, and spray techniques
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct chemical conversion processes for surface preparation
  • Perform vacuum and mechanical bonding of Thermal Protective Systems (TPS) on flight hardware
  • Apply TPS through spray and pour methods
  • Follow strict safety guidelines and quality standards in all tasks
  • Support production goals while maintaining precision and consistency




 Required Qualifications




  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of related fabrication, coating, or manufacturing experience (or equivalent)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process documents
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               


 Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience with brush, roll, and spray coating applications
  • Background in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial fabrication environments
  • Familiarity with thermal protection systems or bonding processes

    • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
    • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
    • Weekend Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Fri–Sun)


  • Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Consultant Role
  • Openings: 5 Positions
  • Target Start Date: July 24
  • Overtime: As needed

Pay Details: $27.29 per hour
