Role Overview: Your Impact
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring aircraft software systems meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will collaborate across global teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to certify and deliver reliable airborne software. Your work directly contributes to the safety and performance of commercial aircraft worldwide.
What You’ll Do — Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Develop and generate software components (PDIs, UMS, Field Loadable software) in compliance with DO-178B/C standards
Review and approve supplier software lifecycle documentation including requirements, design, and architecture
Oversee preparation and submission of certification documentation to FAA/EASA standards
Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and performance
Monitor project timelines to ensure on-time delivery and certification milestones
Lead development and maintenance of system architectures, requirements, and interfaces
Drive implementation of engineering processes, tools, and metrics
Support and lead software lifecycle activities including planning, development, verification, and certification
Participate in industry working groups and contribute to internal standards and best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related STEM field
3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, configuration management, and Agile practices
3+ years of experience in systems/software architecture, requirements, and design
Experience leading software development projects
Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Git)
Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA or GitLab
Domain expertise in aircraft interiors, in-flight entertainment, seating, or onboard network systems
Strong knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 standards (required)
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of related engineering or certification experience
Experience working with or as a DER, TSO Certification Specialist, or Certification Verification Engineer (CVE)
Knowledge of DO-330 and DO-331 standards
Strong background in software lifecycle data and certification processes
Proven ability to work across complex, cross-functional environments

Pay Details: $56.65 per hour
