PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support a cutting-edge aviation and electronics manufacturing operation in Clearwater, FL. Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-month assignment)
Location: Clearwater, FL
Schedule: 4-10’s Monday–Thursday | 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $38.00 – $48.00 per hour
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
Apply statistical methods (SPC, Six Sigma, regression, hypothesis testing) to identify root causes of defects
Develop and track corrective and preventive actions to eliminate issues at the source
Create clear, visual dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau
Deliver executive-level insights and recommendations to drive timely decisions
Track KPIs such as first-pass yield, scrap rates, and defect trends
Maintain audit-ready data aligned with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality program leaders to align on performance goals
Support change control boards and cross-site initiatives
Build automated workflows using Python, SQL, VBA, or Alteryx
Develop and manage ETL pipelines to improve data availability and integrity
Provide insights that help maintain on-time delivery and product compliance
Analyze data across multiple sites handling high-precision electronic assemblies
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related STEM field
Experience analyzing large datasets and supporting quality improvement initiatives
Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with statistical methods (SPC, DOE, capability analysis, Pareto)
Six Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement certification
Experience with Python, SQL, or Alteryx for automation and ETL processes
Background in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar standards
