Inspector - Fabrication/Assembly

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Wichita, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Must be available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)
Pay Rate: $44/hour
As an Inspector, you’ll serve as a vital gatekeeper of quality—ensuring that all fabrication and assembly processes meet strict aerospace standards. Your expertise helps guarantee that every part and system performs flawlessly in the sky.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection manuals to verify compliance
Perform inspections using precision measuring tools and specialized equipment
Evaluate fabrication/assembly processes and accept or reject parts and assemblies accordingly
Ensure tools and equipment are qualified and properly maintained
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
Write and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Work within Quality Management Systems (QMS) policies and procedures
Collaborate across teams and support other inspector levels as needed
Maintain required certifications and complete inspection training/testing
5+ years of aerospace airframe assembly inspection experience
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Experience with MS Office and SAP
Proven ability to write NCRs (tags)
Solid understanding of production processes and inspection procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts and overtime
Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and inspection stamp
Previous experience with Aerospace
737 airframe/fuselage inspection experience
Advanced familiarity with SAP systems
Candidates must successfully complete written and practical testing, including:
Assembly & Post-Assembly Sealing
Electrical Bond & Ground Testing
Precision Measuring Tools
Skin Quality Inspection
Additional certification training includes:
NCR creation in MES
Fastener inspections (solid rivets, blind fasteners, lockbolts, hex-drive bolts, etc.)
Composite fastener inspection
