PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturing company to find a talented Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence, and solving complex production challenges.

What You'll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll serve as a technical expert supporting production operations while driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include:
Design, plan, and optimize manufacturing layouts for assembly processes, material handling, equipment, and tooling.
Spend significant time on the production floor supporting equipment uptime and minimizing downtime through rapid troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Respond urgently to plant issues and production emergencies, leading technical investigations and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues while providing technical support to maintenance, tooling, and production teams.
Recommend, develop, and implement preventive maintenance procedures that improve equipment reliability.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee repairs, modifications, upgrades, and improvements to manufacturing equipment and tooling.
Verify equipment is fully operational and safely released back into production following maintenance or repairs.
Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives that increase production output, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
Utilize maintenance management systems, tooling management software, purchase order systems, and production planning tools to support daily operations.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while improving product quality, workplace safety, ergonomics, and manufacturing performance.
Champion OSHA regulations along with environmental, health, and safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
Build strong working relationships across operations while fostering positive collaboration with union representatives in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a production environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production systems.
Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen or Lean Manufacturing.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
Ability to analyze production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety standards.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in HVAC, appliance, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS), tooling management software, and ERP or production planning systems.
Continuous improvement or Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
