As a Manufacturing Trainee / CNC Operator, you'll participate in a structured training program while supporting daily CNC manufacturing operations. Working alongside experienced machinists and production leaders, you'll develop the technical expertise needed to independently operate CNC equipment, perform quality inspections, troubleshoot production challenges, and manufacture high-quality aerospace fasteners and precision components.

What You'll Do 

As part of our manufacturing team, you'll: 

CNC Machine Operation & Production 

  • Operate CNC milling and turning machines to manufacture precision aerospace fasteners and components. 

  • Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, fixture adjustments, and material loading. 

  • Monitor production runs to maintain quality, efficiency, and productivity. 

  • Make approved machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and optimize production. 

Training & Technical Development 

  • Participate in hands-on training to build expertise in CNC machining, fastener manufacturing, tooling, and production processes. 

  • Learn blueprint reading, technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and machining specifications. 

  • Develop knowledge of machining techniques, thread rolling, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices. 

  • Continuously expand your technical skills while contributing ideas for process improvements. 

Quality Inspection 

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. 

  • Verify dimensions, finishes, and specifications to ensure products meet aerospace quality standards. 

  • Identify and communicate quality concerns while maintaining accurate inspection records. 

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Assist with diagnosing machine, tooling, and production issues. 

  • Work closely with production leaders and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges. 

  • Support initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. 

Equipment Care & Safety 

  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventative machine maintenance. 

  • Maintain an organized, safe work area and follow all manufacturing safety procedures. 

  • Accurately document production data, machine settings, inspections, and maintenance activities. 

What We're Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to learn manufacturing and CNC machining. 

  • Stable work history demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic. 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. 

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety procedures. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 1–2 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience. 

  • Technical education, CNC certification, or manufacturing training. 

  • Experience operating CNC milling or turning equipment. 

  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications. 

  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 

  • Basic troubleshooting skills and understanding of manufacturing processes.

Pay Details: $24.00 per hour
