PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated and analytical Industrial Engineer to support a leading aerospace manufacturer in Portland, OR. In this role, you’ll play a key part in optimizing production systems, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring operations run smoothly across complex manufacturing environments.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Pay Rate: Starting at $41.96 per hour
What You’ll Do
As an Industrial Engineer, you will:
Support factory operations through process optimization and workflow improvements
Conduct capacity planning, staffing forecasts, and recovery planning
Perform time studies and work measurement analysis to drive efficiency
Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve production stability and reduce waste
Analyze facility layouts and recommend footprint improvements for better flow of materials and people
Use data analysis and root cause problem-solving to identify and resolve process issues
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and production teams
Develop and implement improvements that enhance product flow and operational performance
Support readiness efforts to ensure production meets rate and delivery requirements
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field preferred)
2+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or production environments
1+ year of experience defining, developing, or improving production processes
Strong proficiency in data analysis and Excel
Experience with work measurement techniques and time studies
Proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Background in aerospace or similar high-volume manufacturing environments
Familiarity with process improvement tools and workflow optimization techniques
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay Details: $41.96 per hour
