Role Details




  • Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6-month assignment)
  • Location: Bohemia, NY (On-site)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, flexible start/end times)
  • Pay Rate: $29.56 per hour




What You’ll Do



As a Quality Inspector, you will:




  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9100 standards
  • Inspect electronic hardware for final acceptance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Evaluate components such as wires, solder joints, terminals, and assemblies using inspection tools
  • Work from blueprints, planning sheets, and technical instructions
  • Conduct hardware and process audits to maintain quality system integrity
  • Review Acceptance and Test Data Packages (ADP/TDP) for completeness and accuracy
  • Accurately document findings and maintain detailed inspection reports
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform additional duties as required to support quality and production efforts




What You Bring



Required Qualifications




  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a quality inspector or similar role
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) experience in accordance with AS9100 (required)
  • Proficiency using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, microscopes, rulers)
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               

     


Preferred Qualifications




  • Experience with Net-Inspect for FAI documentation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with DCMA or defense-related programs
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and a commitment to excellence
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Pay Details: $29.56 per hour
