Summary:

Installs, routes, terminates, and tests electrical cables and harnesses on C-130J aircraft including Fiber Optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF Cables, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, and Ethernet Cables.

Removes and installs aircraft components as required for modification and maintenance tasks.

Interprets engineering drawings and blueprints such as electrical wiring diagrams, routing drawings, and harness assembly drawings.

Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of install or modification.

Uses and applies hand tools, power tools, work stands, support equipment, and special tools and calibrated test equipment.

Comprehends safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals for task execution.

Performs continuity checks, termination processes, and ensures proper installation of electrical systems per standard processes.

Works with fiber optic, 1553 data bus, RF, and other specialized cables for aircraft avionics and electrical systems.

Interprets installation drawings, understand symbols, flags, and general notes for electrical modifications.

Performs wire harness fabrication, routing, installation, and testing on military or commercial aircraft.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance with U.S. Citizenship required.

Minimum two (2) years of aircraft electrical experience in Communications, Navigations, Guidance Control, Electronic Warfare, Avionics, or Electro or Environmental fields.

Minimum two (2) years demonstrated aircraft electrical experience completing wire or harness fabrication, routing, installation, and testing.

Ability to read and interpret aircraft electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.

Ability to interpret installation drawings, install and route electrical cable assemblies, and perform multiple termination processes.

Experience with fiber optic, 1553 Data Bus, RF Cables, Twinax, Triax, Quadrax, and Ethernet cable installation.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and calibrated test equipment for electrical installation and testing.

Preferred: Avionics or Electrical systems wire routing and installation experience and military or commercial aircraft modification experience.

Preferred: Experience on C-130J aircraft and active Secret clearance.
