JOB TITLE: Metrology & Calibration Technician
LOCATION: Seattle, WA
PAY RATE: $62.00/hr

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

    Job Type: Contract (9 months with potential for extension)

    Shift: 1st shift, start between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM (flexible), Monday to Friday 5x40.

Summary:

    Performs calibration and certification of Measurement and Test Equipment in electronics metrology parameters including radio frequency, microwave, and direct current or low frequency.

    Processes equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and Measurement and Test Equipment standards.

    Processes equipment to manufacturer's performance specifications for calibration and certification.

    Conducts routine tests, analyzes data, and documents results for calibration activities.

    Uses calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair Measurement and Test Equipment.

    Updates equipment status using established systems and completes associated paperwork for calibration records.

    Performs visual checks of Electronic Measurement and Test Equipment for discrepancies and wear.

    Identifies, documents, and routes non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes.

    Performs computations necessary to analyze measurement test results.

    Assists in the development of new calibration processes and procedures for metrology.

Requirements:

    Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

    5 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    3+ years of experience with Electrical or Electronic - DC/LF or RF and Microwave Metrology processes.

    Familiarity with Excel, MET/CAL, LabVIEW, Basic or Visual Basic, computer networking, and troubleshooting.

    Preferred: Associate's degree or above.

    Preferred: 7 years or more work experience in a calibration lab.

    Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) back shop for the military.

    Preferred: Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.

    Preferred: Experience using and configuring data acquisition units and running automated hardware tests.
