Summary:

Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components.

Performs complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.

Performs sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processes.

Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification or repair.

Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems of moderate difficulty at organizational or depot maintenance level.

Performs aircraft bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in accordance with DOD, manufacturer, and company directives.

Performs assembly, installation, check-out, operational testing, and modification of wire bundles in aircraft testing and development.

Interprets standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, and verbal or electronic orders.

Uses precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements.

Applies knowledge of electrical and electronic theories and systems sufficient to perform assigned duties.

Requirements:

Ability to Obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

9+ years of experience in electrical modification, wiring, connector terminations, and troubleshooting on aircraft.

9+ years of experience knowledgeable in electrical and electronic theories and systems.

Ability to perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to wiring and system components.

Experience with complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements.

Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical and environmental systems.

Experience with assembly, installation, operational testing, and modification of wire bundles.

Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Preferred: Experience with Depot Level or Modification maintenance and ability to operate forklift, mobile crane, and elevating equipment.
